In February 2010, independent experts from USA and England performed a multiple-day testing of the equipment, by inserting cultures causing various infectious diseases in the sterilizer. The achieved result met the promises of the equipment manufacturers – the waste after being treated was sterile. The obtained data will be published on the website of the manufacturers (Tempico, USA) and on the website of UN projects, which will considerably increase the ratings of Latvia in the field of potentially infectious waste management
